This project is designed for students to be assessed on their understanding of sine and cosine functions along with sector area and arc length. It gets the students outside and measuring real-world data. Project has been attached as a word file so you can adapt it to your classroom. We used this for our Honors Math III class.

** For Task 1, we showed the students how it would be done with a remote control car and tape. For Task 3, we changed it from December Solstice to June Solstice based on what semester it was. Students were also assigned random cities both above and below the equator for hours of daylight.
