This is a fun hands on project that allows students to see some of the practical applications of trigonometry. Students will build an Inclinometer (optional) then use it to measure angles of elevation to various objects. They will then take their measurements and calculate the height of the objects using right triangle trigonometry and the law of sines.
This project includes
- Instructions for building an inclinometer
- Instructions for the project (Word file that is editable)
- Data sheet complete with drawings
- Possible solutions
