After a few repetitions with this system, the students become aware of what 'does' and 'does not' constitute a correct trigonometric ratio. This resource guides students into placing the numbers in the correct positions for finding the sine, cosine, and tangent ratios. Using a 'column and row' approach, once the students have the two correct numbers in a column (tangent column, sine column, or cosine column), they essentially have the ratio. Additionally, once they have identified the correct side (opposite, adjacent, or hypotenuse), it can be put into each box horizontally. A major benefit is that they begin to become more aware of the 'landmarks' in the right triangles.
