Students use inverses of sin, cosine, and tangent to find missing angles in furniture construction designs. Perfect real world application for trigonometry!
The set includes 6 drawings with a total of 21 missing angles. Students will also need to use a knowledge of angle relationships (such as parallel lines cut by a transversal and complementary angles).
Two versions are included. Each design can be printed on its own sheet or one sheet includes a smaller version of all six. Use the individual sheets to make this a group work or gallery walk activity. Or, use the smaller version to give students individual practice with trig.
An answer key, detailed work for answers, and an extension activity are included as well.
