Students practice factoring trinomials in this cut and match activity with versions for differentiation in the classroom. There are 2 different activities included with 3 verions of each. Practice finding the factors of 12 different trinomials from among 20 possible factors.
In the first activity the coefficient is = 1. In the first version, the trinomials are all given and student has to match only the factors. For students who need just a little more challenge, some of the trinomials and factors are missing. For the more advanced students, --students not only have to sort and match the trinomials and factors, but also place them in the correct place.
In the second activity, the coefficients are > 1 and again, there are 3 different versions of the activity. Matching the factors only with all the trinomials given, matching factors and trinomials--with some of each missing, and finally matching all the pieces and then placing them in the correct order.
Use the basic versions for class and send home the advanced version for homework.
