This is a comprehension packet for the book: Triplet Trouble and theBicycle Race by Debbie Dadey and Marcia Thornton Jones. Answer key is included. The questions encourage practice with reading strategies such as making inferences, analyzing character traits, reading with expression, predicting, and making connections. This is also a good book to use to teach character traits such as sharing, teamwork, and cooperation.
Students will be engaged in their reading as they answer these various types of questions for each chapter. Some questions will be answered in writing and others with be answered in groups discussions. This book is a level L/2.8/DRA 28 and was designed for use with first or second graders. However, it can also be used with individuals reading above or below grade-level in other grades.
The questions in the packet are aligned with Common Core State Standards:
RL.1.1. Ask and answer questions about key details in a text.
RL.1.2. Retell stories, including key details, and demonstrate understanding of their central message or lesson.
RL.1.3. Describe characters, settings, and major events in a story, using key details
