I have another Tropical Rainforest Package in my store. This unit is a little more challenging. For example, there are 2 Math activities focusing on the basic idea of Square Roots and Factors. There are 4 folders in the package: Math, Science, Writing and Butterflies. The Butterfly activities are included in a separate package in my store, in case you are just interested in butterflies and not in Tropical Forests. There are 39 total pages in this unit. The Math is heavy on word problems, with 6 different topics covered. Most of the word problems involve real statistics that we came across in our research. There are a minimum of 4 word problems per a topic. Since students are still making their multiplication facts concrete at some level in these grades, there are 2 skip counting activities included that reveal a rainforest animal after completion. We included research activities to encourage expository writing and reading. A blank KWL chart awaits your students' input, an example KWL chart shows you what kind of research they might find, and a list of suggested guiding questions helps you give your students focus on their research projects. Also included in the Science folder are 3 comparison activities: endo and exoskeletons, temperate and tropical rainforests, and different layers of the tropical rainforest. In writing, our focus is on end punctuation, sentence construction, and adding details to writing. In all, there are over 40 pages included. Answer Keys are included where they are applicable.
PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS before purchasing. I do not want you to be dissatisfied.
