Use the true/false sort active teaching strategy as a small group, whole group, pairs, or individual activity to engage students in discussions about the life cycle of a butterfly. Students use their knowledge to sort 10 facts into True and False groups. Here's the catch...there are the same amount of true facts as false facts. Students must move facts around to make sure there are exactly 5 in each column. This is a fun whole class activity too, as the class moves students into two equal true and false groups.
This can also be used as an individual activity, mini assessment, or center activity.
