This is a great manipulative for the class. I use it as part of my day 2 Lesson Plan for the 4.OA.1 Standard. It can be run as an independent activity or done in pairs. The multiplication equation is represented as a verbal statement and students need to say if each is "true" or "false" and then explain why.
