In August 2011 the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial was completed and dedicated on the National Mall in Washington D.C. On this memorial is a quotation from a sermon that King made on February 4, 1968. Much controversary surrounds the shortened, or as some critics say, paraphrased quotation. This lesson includes five different discussion and writing activities pertaining to Martin Luther King Jr.'s quotation, the entire sermon, and his other speeches.
