What's better than a skit teaching little kids about the true meaning of Christmas? Two, of course! I was asked if I could write a skit for our Birthday Party for Jesus. It went over very well, so I was asked to write another skit a couple of years later.
Both of the skits have the same purpose of presenting the true meaning of Christmas. They were written for a Christian, Lutheran (Missouri Synod) church activity, though I'm sure they would work fine for your church without much effort. These are not public school skits.
I tried to make the dialogue fun for kids, including sing-songy chants, but also fun for adults. The characters make the two skits more interesting than most others I've seen.
If you need a little skit for your church Christmas celebration but don't have the time to create it yourself, download these two. Both of these skits are made to be short enough to hold the kids' attention, but they are written for ADULT characters, with kids as the audience. Of course, middle school kids could act it out for the little ones, too. We just used members of our Bible study group.
