Product Description
Socialization is a key concept in Sociology and Psychology courses. The Truman Show is a movie starring Jim Carrey that demonstrates the power of relationships and events to shape human behavior. I created this trial as a follow-up activity to our class watching the Truman Show. Truman doesn't handle "post-bubble" life so well and soon becomes a mess. The trial features 5 witnesses who attempt to either blame Christof (the creator of the Truman Show) or advocate that Truman's issues are not Christof's fault. How much responsibility does Christof hold on Truman's behavior now that Truman is free? This issue is key to the idea of socialization. Students love the trial.
