Students will use terms, definitions, and examples of Eisenhower and Truman's Cold War Policies to create a concept map that shows how the two presidents approached the Cold War. Students can use a History textbook or the internet to find out the definitions of the terms and examples of the policies in action. Students can work independently or in pairs. This is similar to a puzzle. I review the map with students after they are finished.
Student Task: Create a web or concept map illustrating the connection of the following terms. HINT: Words that are underlined are headings. Words that are in ovals are examples of foreign policies. Definitions to policies are in square boxes. Examples of foreign policies are in italics. Use your American History textbook or the WWW to guide you.
