"Trunks and Elephants" is a fun and engaging preschool game for targeting the phonological process of initial consonant deletion of bilabial sounds (/p/, /m/, and /b/). The visualization of adjoining the elephant’s "trunk" and adding the word's initial “nose sound" assists in improving your student's phonological awareness and self-monitoring skills.
This download includes:
- .pdf's of all (8) elephants, their corresponding "trunks", and stimulus pictures ready to be printed on cardstock, cut out and laminated. There are (2) stimulus pictures for each elephant and trunk which should be glued to the back of each elephant and trunk before laminating.
- A black-and-white elephant coloring page for reinforcement, multiple target word drills/trials, or as a take-home HEP page which your student can color in a part of the elephant for each target said correctly.
- “We’re ‘Nuts’ For Nose Sounds” activity page: color, smush Play-Doh, paint, etc. a peanut for every target word said correctly.
Please let me know if you enjoyed this game + activities or if you have any questions! *ALVEOLAR SOUNDS* will be added soon!
