A collection of comments made on Indigenous people throughout Canada's history up until September of 2018. Print the paper and cut each comment out, but do not provide students with the speaker or date. Split students into small groups and have them examine a few of the quotations. Who do they think made this comment? During what time period was it said? How do these statements and their implications continue to negatively impact Indigenous people? Students will be surprised by how many of these comments have been made within the past 5-10 years.
