That's right! Download a free copy of my alternative energy mini-unit for 4th grade. This mini unit is on using wind energy as an alternative energy source. There are several lessons in this unit that can be taught as a theme or as stand alone lessons. Lessons include magnetic force, electromagnets, electric motor, and generator. As a final project, student teams will build an actual working wind turbine using a paper pinwheel that will really produce and electric current. Also included is a lesson on the environmental impact of wind energy on the environment. A bonus lesson includes having students explore their family's carbon footprint. A student engineering journal specifically designed for the unit as well as a rubric are included.
I decided that I wasn't making very much through TPT and would rather have teachers access and use my resources for free.
