This center for the novel Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt challenges students to analyze quotes and determine which character said which lines. Students must recall relevant details, analyze word choice, make inferences and critically think to complete this sort. My students would refer back to the text without my reminders and had great literary discussions without my prompting! A great review after the novel that can be used in whole group, small groups or centers/stations. Teachers can review quoting and inferring (CCSS RL 5.1) and draw connections between characters (CCSS RL 5.3).
A must for a literature rich classroom!
