Product Description

This 20-slide PowerPoint introduces students to Tudor (or Elizabethan) language, preparing them to study a novel with this type of dialect. Students learn about Tudor pronouns, words like hither and hence, different vowel endings, and inverted word order. There are notes for students to fill in as they follow along with the lecture. There is also an activity that requires them to translate Tudor dialect into more modern language. I use this as an introduction to The Prince and the Pauper.
