Tug of War Tens is a 2-player game that allows the students to practice multiplying by 10. Players roll two dice, find the sum and multiply the sum by 10 to get the product. Players then use strategy to win the game by either covering the product on their side of the Tug of War Rope or removing their opponent's counter that is covering the same product on the other side of the rope. The first player to cover all of the products on his side of the rope wins the game. This activity meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics and makes for a great math center or whole class game.
