This is NOT a low-prep lesson. PREPARING THE CARD GAME WILL TAKE SIGNIFICANT TIME the first time you do it. DO NOT purchase if you have insufficient time to prep this resource. (Printing everything will take at least one prep period. Cutting the tulip cards, if you have a good paper cutter, will take you one prep period but more likely, two. Cutting the money, if you have a good paper cutter, will take you two prep periods.)
Once you have prepped this resource and if your students do not destroy it and you yourself take care of the resource, you will not have to prep it en masse again. Like any other game, the more precautions you take to preserve the game, the longer it will last.
