Students will gobble up beginning, medial and ending sound practice with 56 CVC Cards and 32 additional cards. These are great for literacy centers or independent work. Laminate and you are all set.
• The first 20 cards serve dual purpose. They can be used to clip beginning, medial or ending sounds. The letters in the word are scrambled. So students can also cut out the letters (provided separately) and glue them in the right order on the cards. They can also glue them on separate blank cards (provided at the end of the package), and draw the words they made. Take multiple print outs of the blank cards as needed.
• The next 16 cards have the middle sound, and either the beginning or ending sound is missing; the turkey gobbled them up. Students have to fill in the missing words. Following 20 cards, the turkey has gobbled up the beginning and ending sounds, and students have to fill them in.
• 32 cards follow after this. These words are not CVC. This is done intentionally, so students can get exposed to correctly identifying the beginning and ending sounds for a range of words. The cards can be used to clip either beginning or ending sounds.
• Finally, there are 2 worksheets each for beginning, medial, and ending sounds. The worksheets contain a mix of CVC and non-CVC words.
