This activity includes 4 turkey bodies, each with the name of one instrument family (woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion) and 4 hats, each with features of the instrument family. There are also 18 turkey feathers with the names of various instruments that go into those families.
Students need to cut out all feathers and hats and match them to their appropriate turkey.
All turkeys, hats, and instruments are mixed up so students need to remember what goes where. If you would prefer a version with a turkey and its corresponding hat and feathers on the same page, contact me and I will get it to you as soon as I can.
Instruments used are:
Woodwind - Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon
Brass - Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Tuba
Strings - Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Percussion - Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Xylophone, Timpani, Cymbals
If you would prefer a version with different percussion instruments, please contact me.
This is a great Thanksgiving or Fall activity to review instruments and their families!
