### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Integrate art into your math class by building a turkey with geometric shapes with this Thanksgiving Math Craft activity. Show your students how simple shapes can create intricate characters and images. Celebrate Thanksgiving while learning or reviewing the geometric properties or area and perimeter/circumference of different shapes!

Versatile! Great for different levels!
From opening up a discussion about the properties of two dimension shapes to extending the activity by discovering area and perimeter of the shapes, this Thanksgiving activity is fun for all! Your students can make their creatures on the plain template and color them in, or they can cut out the pieces from the color template. The blank template can be used to trace out the parts on construction paper. Various activities can be used for remediation or enrichment!

Included now is a simple Science Anatomy worksheet where your students can fill in the parts of a turkey. This activity can be extended if you want to include more parts. The printouts can be used separately or together in an activity.

Customizable!
Students can rearrange the feathers to make the turkey look how they want it to. The turkeys make great Thanksgiving decorations to liven up the classroom!

If you like the graphics, you can get them in my Build Your Own Turkey clipart pack or my Turkey and Thanksgiving clipart bundle!

Turkey Template
You can choose to have your students fill out the names of each shape on this template. Or you can use the template to have your students color, cut, and create the creature. You can extend this activity into an area and perimeter/circumference lesson. Use the grid to figure out the dimensions and the measurements of each shape.

The SHAPES and PARTS OF A TURKEY answer keys can be enlarged to poster size and used as a reference for your students on your bulletin board.
