This set of turkeys, by Sara Ipatenco, is designed to help children learn and practice the most common letter blends. Students color and cut out the turkey bodies and feathers. (Instead of coloring, you could print them on colored paper!) Then they glue the letter blend feathers to the coordinating bodies. The packet includes feathers with full words, feathers with just the word blends so students can complete the blends and blank feathers so students can come up with their own words. Blends included are: sc, sh, sk, sl, sm, sn, sp, st, sw, bl, br, ch, cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, pr, th, tr, tw, wh, wr and qu.
