This is a fun activity for students to complete to practice place value location. Students will look at a card that has place value up to the hundreds in various orders. They will then use the match cards to find the correct number and record their answer on their answer sheet. If you have a struggling student they can use the place value board to write the numbers under the correct headings. This board can be laminated and the students can use their dry erase markers on it.
* When I used this game with my students I printed the pages out 2 per page. This made the images smaller and I was able to use less ink. I then labeled the back of each set of playing cards with a different themed sticker. This is helpful when a card is left on the floor then you can easily identify which bag it belongs to. Each set will fit in a quart size baggie if printed this way for easy storage. I also print the title page and the answer sheet full size and place them back to back before laminating. I place this as my center title but the answers are there for the students to check their own work.
My students always get so excited to go to our holiday themed math centers.
