Product Description
Turkey Trouble, by Wendy Silvano, is a perfect choice to build comprehension skills through sequencing and retelling activities. In this literature link, I've provided resources to build comprehension, oral language, and writing skills through engaging, story-based activities.

Use the sequencing and word cards. I’ve provided a colored teacher sample set and a student set.

Retell the story using the story telling set . There’s a color copy for you, or reproduce the black & white versions for your students.

Have the students make their animal masks and a turkey feather head band to act out the story. You have the choice of printing these in full color, black and white for the students to color, or templates to copy onto construction paper.

Have students make a own disguise for their turkey and write about it with the “Disguise Your Turkey” writing and craft project.

Please note: the picture book is not included in this resource. If you haven’t added Turkey Trouble to your Thanksgiving thematic library, run to your local bookstore or library to grab a copy.
