If you have been working on two-step equations or have already taught it and just want a review or activity to get students in the spirit of the holidays then this little turkey is perfect! My students love to color. ANYTHING. So the fact they are doing 30 math problems AND coloring means we are both winning. This is perfect to give to students as something to do before their Thanksgiving break or for practice leading up to break. Students are instructed to solve the problem and then according to their answer they will color that part of the turkey an assigned color. All equations are two-step and involve rational numbers. Look through the thumbnails to see the questions included to know whether this resource is for you. An answer key is included along with a correctly colored turkey.
This resource is provided in two formats. One format is a coloring sheet and questions all on one page if you need to save on paper/printer ink (on this one there is hardly any space to do work therefore my students use white boards to work out the problems: coloring AND white boards equals a win-win in my classroom). The second format involves the questions, along with space to work out the problems on one page, and a larger turkey on the next page. This is for your students that really want to do a lot of coloring and if you want larger pictures to use as decorative pieces around the room or in the hallways.
Last note: The turkey is black and white and printer/copier friendly. This clipart is copyright of Oaklynn Resources and should not be reused without permission in any way. Hope your students love it! Happy Thanksgiving!
