Product Description
This Thanksgiving Activity is a hit with families! Use this naked turkey to send home for the students to disguise with their families. We call it, Special Operation Turkey!

It includes:
Pg.1 Cover
Pg. 2 Directions for the Teacher
Pg. 3-6 Title for a wall/window display
Pg. 7 Turkey Printable for parents to disguise with their child
Pg. 8 Family Letter for you to fill in a due date and sign explaining the project
Pg. 9 Writing Paper for the students to describe their disguise.
Pg. 10 Credits

First read the book in class, Turkey Trouble, by Wendi Silvano and illustrated by Lee Harper. You can find it on YouTube or buy it at Amazon. Read the Family Letter to the students to ENGAGE your students. Send the project home the first week of November. Give parents a least a week (with a weekend) to complete the project. Send home the parent letter explaining the project (fill in the date and your signature), the turkey printable and the ½ sheet writing paper. Have students orally share their projects and try to get them to make a text to project connection by asking, “How is this like the story we read in class?” and prompt them to identify characters in the story. Use them to make a cute class display.
