I hope you enjoy this fun Thanksgiving themed card game! It can be used as individual practice, with partners, small or whole group, centers and/or work stations. Lots of variety for children in Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten!
My students love playing games in a bag! Put all the cards in a bag and have your students sit in a circle. Start the game yourself or the first student of your choosing. The student will reach in the bag to get a card (they are not to look) and tell everyone what letter they have.
This is where you can change the game to best fit your needs. Options can be: what letter did they pick, is it uppercase or lowercase, what sound does the letter make, can you name an object that starts with that letter, what number did they pick, and/or can you count to that number. Make it work for your students. I can even differentiate all in one game, depending on each individual students needs.
. . . . . what about those turkey cards!! If a student reaches into the bag and gets a turkey card, that student now has to put any of their letter cards back into the bag. Once they have put their cards back they can pretend to gobble like a turkey!!! Continue this process until all cards have been picked or your time is up.
I have included turkey recording sheets. There is one sheet each for uppercase, lowercase and numbers. As kids pull out the letter and number cards they can find the match on their sheets and color them in
