This cute story by Jennifer Beck Harris tells about the nice manners the animals have at Thanksgiving until a food fight erupts!
There are roles for three students, as well as nameplates for them to wear as necklaces or headbands. If you choose the necklace, simply hole-punch the top of the nameplate and string a piece of yarn through the hole. If you would rather have headbands, cut a 2-inch strip of construction paper long enough to fit around the students' heads. Then glue or staple the nameplate to the construction paper. I also recommend running the nameplates off on cardstock or construction paper.
Children love Reader's Theaters, and they are such valuable tools for increasing reading and speaking fluency.
