This festive turkey rhythm set can be used in several ways to teach rhythm. I like to use it as a center activity for students to explore how the different rhythms relate to one another. Print off a turkey holding a four-beat Thanksgiving pie for each student/group and whichever rhythm pie pieces are at your students' level. All pie pieces are written 3 ways: with the note only, with the traditional note name (quarter note), and with the syllable name (ta) so that you can choose what your students should use. Students will gain a better understanding of rhythm correlations with these manipulatives. A worksheet is included for written assessment purposes.
**Updated! Now the pies are available in two sizes: the original two inch size perfect for centers and a new 8.5 inch size great for small hands and whole class interaction.
