This packet includes signs to help introduce or reinforce the idea of turn-around facts. You can first have the students hold up the signs in the front of the room create an addition problem. When the problem has been solved, the students holding the addends can switch spots, leaving the answer in the same spot. You can then talk to the students about how these are turn-around facts. This is a good way to get the students used to the idea of this concept.
The last page of the packet is a worksheet to be used with dominoes to teach turn-around facts. The students get their own domino, draw it on their worksheet and then write the number model. After they write it, they write the turn-around fact. They switch with a neighbor and draw their domino and complete the bottom half of the worksheet.
