Description

This activity breaks down each of the 95 Theses that Martin Luther nailed to his church in Wittenburg, Germany in 1517, sparking the Protestant Revolution. There is a page for each thesis that states what it said and then a spot to decipher what the words meant, rewriting them in more modern-day terms, and then a spot to write a Tweet as if Martin Luther was putting them out there digitally.

The closure activity could be a number of ideas, including a writing prompt, using an online platform to create an actual Twitter feed with each, etc.

This can also be broken down by just choosing certain theses to showcase, grouping them together, having the students work individually or in groups, turning it into a game, etc. The possibilities are endless.
