Available on the PDF, you will teacher and student directions. This project has been designed for you to print out as is and give to the students as a packet project. If you have a digital curriculum at your school, please visit my site as there is a digital Google Slides version available to you and your students.
The assignment is for students to pick 2 characters from William Shakespeare's play Twelfth Night. The handouts have been set up for two characters, each one divided by a different color. The first half of the presentation is blue for their first character, while the second half is green for their second character. If you print it out in black and white, the "2nd Character" is labeled for the students.
Students will not only design an album cover that best represents their chosen character, but they will also have to analyze it, thoroughly explaining what aspects of their character have been put into the cover and why it is important.
In addition, students will be asked to find two songs to put on each character's album. There is a spot for students to put in the lyrics (for you, the teacher, to see) as well as analysis questions for each set of lyrics.
The purpose of this assignment is to have them think critically about their characters, their personality, and their development throughout the play in relation to the students' modern day life.
