The following nine-page study guide film packet is used to accompany the Trevor Nunn-directed 1996 film adaptation of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. This study guide can be used in an English, film studies, or theatre class. The first page contains a list of cast and crew and a background and introduction on the film. The second page is a page that allows viewers to jot and take down their own notes. Pages three to eight contain comprehension questions to guide the viewer on the work's acting, camera movement, cinematography, conflict, costume design, inferences, dramatic irony, editing, foreshadowing, mise en scene, plot, sound, set design, setting, story, sound, style, and themes. The ninth page contains discussion questions on the adaptation choices the filmmakers made, characterization, editing, symbolism, and ideologies/themes.
