Please enjoy these cards that I use to work on number identification with students - but can really be used for just about anything!
These cards require students to put their various parts on different 'numbers' (or vocabulary terms, letters etc - the choice is yours). Body parts and how many of each are color coded on the cards, so that students who may not be reading yet can still play the game without constant teacher support.
Each card has a prompt like 'Put your HAND on....' and then there is blank space in which you can fill in a number, letter, vocab term (the list goes on!) that you want the student to find. Print, fill in your desired academic content, cut, laminate and use this resource again and again.
Along with this game, you will need to have a playing surface students can access. I have a large, plastic number line that I roll out onto the floor and use with students when we are playing this game. It is just big enough (and durable enough) for us! However, if you do not have that kind of resource - you can simply make number lines, letters or vocabulary terms out of painter's tape and place sporadically on the floor!
Please enjoy this resource :) The kiddos I play this with really enjoy it - lots of laughter to be had by all, that's for sure! Though they may not recognize it because it seems like just a game, their number identification skills are getting stronger by the second!
