The unit is purposefully written to give teachers the ability to introduce and change as they feel would be best for their teaching style and student ability. As written, this experiment is perfect for introducing the scientific method to students at the beginning of the school year.
Students will work with group members to complete the experiment.
Through this experiment, students will learn about fractions, theoretical and experimental probability, how to collect data, graph results and draw conclusions.
Students will need coloring tools to create their own spinner, that will match the color pattern of a real Twister spinner. Students could use a pencil as a spinner or this can be changed by the teacher if desired.
