When students first learn how to add two digit numbers, it is important that they understand that they must always add the ones and then the tens. This is important for when they begin adding two digit numbers that require regrouping. These dominoes will help them practice just that skill.

48 Two Digit Addition Dominoes- laminate for best results)
Can be used as a center, in small groups, or as a whole class game
Also required: mini dry erase boards for each student and a dry erase marker.
How to Play:
Students line up two of the dominoes, make sure they line up the red to the red and the green to the green, write their plus sign, add up the two digit numbers, and repeat. This is a great way to reinforce how to line up ones to ones and tens to tens.
