Your students will be experts at adding two-digit numbers with no regrouping when you use this set of 24 math riddle task cards and game! Plus, you'll love this engaging way to offer your first grade students math enrichment in a fun format!

Here's how these riddle cards work!

Choosing from four numbers on each card, your students will solve two-digit addition equations to determine the sweet secret sum. When three numbers have been eliminated, the number remaining is the answer!

What does this first grade math enrichment activity include?

♦ 24 math riddle task cards

♦ The same 24 riddles in full-page format, for easy use on your interactive board or on digital devices with your favorite app.

♦ Student recording page and answer key

♦ A board game is also included for additional practice with two-digit addition with no regrouping, for independent use in a math center.

Here are some options for using the task cards:

♦ Use in a math center for individual or partner work

♦ Use for whole class review with your document camera

♦ Use as a skills review rotation, like Scoot, individually or with partners, with

students moving to stations around the classroom to solve the riddles

My students loved working on these problems. I had them work in teams of two. They were able to encourage each other, help when it got challenging, and celebrate when they got the answer right. Great resourse!
