I made this original Murder Mystery and it was a huge success! I did it around Halloween this year and used it during an observation by my principal, which went really well! The students were engaged the entire time and extremely motivated to complete the activity. My schedule has math for an hour each day and this took just about 2 math classes, with some students finishing in one. The students need to complete the problem on each clue. Once they find the answer, the clue next to that answer is the correct clue that will help them eliminate either a suspect, time, place, or weapon. All of the wrong answers have fake clues. Once students complete all of the clues, they will have a suspect, time, place, and weapon remaining, which is the answer! I use this when teaching 5th grade Topic 3 from Pearson's Envision. It covers two-digit multiplication. An answer key is included. Please leave a rating if you like it! I would really appreciate it.
