You can use these for two different math centers.
I needed an easy math center for the beginning of the year. I printed the grid on white paper and the shapes on colored paper. Students practiced their cutting skills, shape recognition as well as using the first letter to figure out where to put the shapes. The smaller shapes are used for students to cut out and make a pattern by gluing them onto a sentence strip in the pattern order of their choice. They can write the letter pattern (ex. abab) underneath the shapes. These can be repeated using different colored paper or on white and allow students to color in.
