PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a scavenger hunt activity, which I find is a great alternative way for students to show their understanding! There are six shapes included and they are:

Triangle
Quadrilateral
Pentagon
Hexagon
Heptagon
Octagon

Print and laminate the shapes included and tape them all over your classroom. Then, have students work in small groups to find the shapes and identify them. There are two different activities included for them to do this...one worksheet where they are given the name of the shape and must match it to the correct letter, and identify the number of sides and angles. On the other worksheet, the students must find the shape (the shapes have a letter on them), name it, and identify the number of sides.

My students had so much fun with this and I love the natural way it led them to talk about math and use their math vocabulary!
