Use this non-threatening, community building tool to help students peer evaluate writing, authentic products, or team projects. Students give "Two Glows" that positively and specifically recognize strengths or mastery of skills ( do not let students use canned comments such as "Good Job" or "I like your writing"). Students also give one suggestion for "growth" that provides constructive criticism . This simple tool fosters critical thinking, is emotionally challenging, and makes students responsible for their own learning.
You could even use this tool intitially to model "how" to give feedback.
