Product Description
Students will practice place value of two-digit numbers with this set of two ice cream and cake themed math games.

The first game has cards for students to match. On one card the number is represented by images of tens blocks, rods (tens) and units (ones). The second card has the written number as well as the number of tens and the number of ones.

The second game is a board game with two decks of cards. The cards have images of
tens blocks, rods (tens) and units (ones). You can provide a container for the students to draw cards from or you can have the students place the cards face down. Students choose a card and name the illustrated number. Another student checks the answer with the answer key. You may want to have the student place a token over each answer as they use them to make it easier for them to use the answer key. If correct the student spins a spinner or rolls one dice cube and moves that many spaces on the game. The first student to reach the finish space wins.

Preparation Tips:
Laminate and cut out the games and pieces that you want to use.
Complete the spinners by attaching a paper clip with a paper fastener.
Students can use any small objects, such as cubes, mini erasers etc. for pawns in the board game.
Prepare once and use for years to come.
