These two math rubrics (five and ten point) are effective ways to grade the piles of math homework handed in every day. Since homework is usually practice or preparation for a test, it is imperative that it is graded quickly and returned to the students promptly. Homework that is graded in a timely manner also gives the instructor knowledge about how the class is doing with a particular math unit or what specific concepts need to be taught again.
Included with the rubrics are instructions on how to head a piece of notebook paper for math class. Copying the handout at the beginning of the year for the students to place in their math folders serves as a reference for the required expectations. This handout is not saved in a PDF format so that you may alter it for your class.
