The Andalusian cities of Seville and Cordoba are famous for Flamenco. Separated by less than 100 miles, they are often compared to two beautiful sisters, one daring and cosmopolitan, the other serious. How could two cities so close to each other evolve to have such different personalities?
This is a two-part essay think piece covering the film 'Hola, Flamenco.' Can be used as a standalone, or with other 'Hola, Flamenco' activities. Also great for starting group discussions about History, Culture, Art, Dance and/or Architecture.
Part I is designed to be completed in-class, and can also be used to guide post-viewing discussions about the film.
Part II is take-home and requires students to complete guided Internet research about the 'Two Sisters.'
