It is time to practice two-step equations in a new way! Turning it into a game is great way to catch the students attention and take them away from strictly paper and pencil work.
There are 2 versions to this dominoes activity. The first version is to have the students solve two-step equations without negative numbers. The second version brings in the negatives. This makes it great practice for those that struggle with negatives but can do the steps necessary when they are removed.
Turn this activity into a center easily! You can laminate for reuse or slide the game board into a protective sheet. Another alternative is the have the students cut and paste the dominoes for a more hands on approach.
Never fear! There is also a worksheet for students to write down their work and an answer for you to check how they did quickly.
