Each year on September 11th, students around the United States pause to remember the tragic incidents that occurred on that day in 2001. This beautifully-illustrated
story is set in a peaceful forest and details the struggle of the woodland creatures to overcome the loss of their protectors - the Two Tall Trees. Created shortly after the events of September 11th, 2001 as a way to explain to young children and students what had happened in an allegorical way, Two Tall Trees serves as a more relatable way for them to develop an understanding of the events and also helps to facilitate conversations. There will be a separate study guide and lesson plan file to support Two Tall Trees available soon.
