This activity includes ten expressions and equations written in symbolic language as well as words. Students will read three statements about each expression or equation and decide which statement is the lie. I direct my students to draw an X through the lie. There are also five expressions and equations written in symbolic language as well as words that DO NOT contain three statements. For these, I ask students to write their own three statements with two being TRUTHS and one being a LIE.
This activity may be used as independent practice, a center activity, or small group work.
