Two and Three Digit Place Value
A fun, unique, teacher-made game!
Kids will enjoy working on numbers, place value, and expanded form with this game.
Each game will include 30 number pieces, with one of the digits highlighted yellow. Also included will be 30 place value pieces labeled “ones”, “tens”, or “hundreds”. These will be used to match to the appropriate highlighted digit.
There will also be 3 blank number sentence strips and 27 orange number pieces where the child will have to take the previously used numbers (with highlighted digit) and create the expanded form number problem.
Also included is a small, laminated, envelope to store the 30 number pieces, 30 place value pieces, and 27 orange number pieces. The envelope has a small piece of Velcro for convenient closure and storage.
The small envelopes will be stored in a 10.5’’ x 5.5’’ plastic envelope for lasting durability. The envelope will vary in color and may not match the color in the picture. However, all storage envelopes will have a Velcro or string closure.
The outside of the plastic storage envelope will have kid-friendly directions with picture icons to help with understanding.
The number pieces, place value pieces, and number sentence strips are printed on heavy-duty cardstock with colored ink AND laminated! The cardstock may vary in color, but will always be heavy-duty and laminated!
This game is linked to Educational Common Core Standards: Grade 2 » Number & Operations in Base Ten » Understand place value. » 1 Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones.
